Notice Nearby places legal public notices — foreclosures, probate, bids, name changes, hearings, tax sales, and related filings — on a public register. There is no free listing. Every new notice is one of two paid products.

In New Jersey, Virginia, and Florida, Notice Nearby acts as a qualifying publisher (Legal Publication). Price is the word-tier rate times insertions: Standard $79.00 (≤2,000 words), Long $119.00 (2,001–5,000), Extra long $179.00 (5,001–10,000), with a hard maximum of 10,000 words. Publication includes an Affidavit of Publication plus a signed receipt. The public URL is the official placement. That is legal-publication framing, not a claim that any court, clerk, or agency has already accepted a particular filing.

In every other state, Notice Nearby sells a Public Register Placement: a paid 30-day searchable posting, a content hash, and a Placement Certificate — never an affidavit. Flat fees: Standard $49.00, Long $69.00, Extra long $99.00. A register placement does not satisfy newspaper or other statutory legal-notice requirements.

We are not a scrape of other newspapers. Search is of what was placed here. This build includes 88 sample notices across 51 states and the District of Columbia, covering 10 notice types.

When a notice is placed, Notice Nearby assigns a publication number, stores a SHA-256 of the canonical notice text, appends an immutable event (time, hash, URL, actor), and signs a receipt with HMAC-SHA256. Anyone can open Verify and confirm the live text still matches.
